Mike Davis
Head Designer/Staff Coordinator
Mike Davis has been involved in the marching arts activity for 25 years. He currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife Luisa, sons Paul, Andrew and Nicolas. He has arranged, designed and taught for marching bands and winter percussion ensembles around the Midwest and is a sought-after judge for marching band and winter percussion contests across the country. Mike is a co-founder of Gateway Indoor Percussion, a Winter Guard International (WGI) Percussion Independent World (PIW) finalist. He has also taught Parkway West HS-WGI regional champions and WGI semi-finalists. At Francis Howell North HS, Mike was a co-designer and caption head leading the ensemble to two WGI finalist appearances in PSA.
Currently, Mike is a percussion adjudicator for Drum Corps International (DCI) and has been invited to judge both Open Class and World Class competitions at the DCI Championships, as well as other DCI major events and the all-important individual and ensemble competition. Mike was an active judge for Drum Corps Midwest (DCM). He is endorsed by Innovative Percussion Sticks and Mallets. Mike is one of four co-founders of the newly formed "Freedom Youth Percussion," along with Sean Harris, Evan Guerra and Chris Cooper.
